1997 Subaru WRX Type RA GC8-056261 (GC8D47D). 71,360 miles (115,093 km). Recent import from Japan.

Rare model, ‘RA’ stands for Rally Applicant and this simpler and lighter version of the WRX was aimed at race-teams who’d build into their own spec. This car has been used for the equivolent of Japanese RallyCross /time trial with rally computer; aluminum skid-plates; Enkei wheels; bolt-in-cage.

Service April, 2023

  • oil change – Motul 10/40
  • transmission & rear differential fluid Redline 75/90
  • new front calipers
  • new front Akebono ceramic pads
  • new front brake rotors
  • new front axles
  • new battery
  • aftermarket wiring cleaned-up

No rear seats; rear-interior stripped; steering wheel worn; studless snow tires; front axles due for replacement; body / undercarriage shows signs of ‘racing use’ and aggressive differentials – Front 2-way / LSD in back / center seems locked. Tire-scrub will be an issue on the street.

Ideally suited to Dirtfish / Rallycross in it’s current configuration.
