1996 Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 TB (turbo benzina) with 202 hp turbocharged ‘Busso’ V6; 5-speed manual transmission. Runs and drives well – engine has good power; transmission, clutch, steering, brakes feel like they should.
Interior: is in good condition. Leather trim w/ contrasting red stitching. Recaro seats; MOMO steering wheel; Alcantera headliner (perfect); nice dash and carpets. Sanyo CD / MD player. Tilt steering; power windows; power locks; power mirrors; power antenna.
Exterior: no rust, scratches or dings. Paint faded on trunk & clear-coat peeling on bumper / hood / fenders / mirror, roof. Faded emblems.
Engine and Chassis: Engine starts right up and runs excellent. Good boost and good power and no leaks or unusual sounds. Does not consume oil. Clutch take-up is where it should be and transmission shifts well. General driving dynamics are very good. Steering is positive. Brakes have stainless lines and lots of pad left. Exhaust looks very good. Suspension feels good w/ negligible play in lower rubber bushings.
Service: oil change, brake fluid flush, new 205/55×16 Yokohama Avid Ascend GT 205/55×16. New F& R shocks / motor mounts / clutch slave cylinder.
Note: Speedo inop. odometer reports 71,476 km – consistent with Shakken: 2009 (Heisei 21.7) = 61,236; 2009 (Heisei 21.12) = 63,309; 2011 (Heisei 23.11) = 67,528; 2013 (Heisei 25.12) = 69,808 – likely needs hall-effect sensor (troubleshooting .1 .2 .3 – part #71748473). AC compressor operated however not particularly cold.
