2000 Mini Cooper 1300 MPi SAXXNNAZRYD182481.
UK market car parallel-imported into Japan. Interesting specification – Cooper MPi high-compression engine; 4-speed manual transmission and tall-gearing (2.76); air-conditioning; opening rear windows.
Exterior – original red paint with white roof looks good. Rubber molding around windows is in good condition. Chrome and brightwork look good with some light pitting on door-handles. Does have rust under the left-front headlight; near the VIN plate in trunk and a couple areas near the arches with rust bubbles and paint touch-up.
Interior – looks good. Headliner / seats / carpets / door panels / dash have held up well – showing wear consistent with the age and low-miles. Wood-veneer has a few cracks.
Engine and Drivetrain – Runs and drives very well. Engine has great power and very tractable. Transmission and clutch feel good. Brakes are good and tires look good but on hard-braking and cornering, you’d like to have stickier tires like Dunlop 165/55R12 SP Sports R7.
