1982 Mitsubishi Lancer EX 1800GSR Turbo A175A-0014904 22,982 kilometers reported to be original. From greater- Tokyo area – in good / relatively stock condition.
The second generation Lancer is a neat sports sedan with 1970-80’s box styling reminiscent of E28 BMW and European Ford Escort RS.
This top of the range EX 1800 GSR Turbo is equipped with a 135hp SOHC turbo 4-cylinder with Mikuni fuel-injected; 5-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels. This example features Recaro seats and is reported to have 23k kilometers.
The A175A & 2.0 liter A176A were FIA homologated and brought Mitsubishi rally success in the early 1980’s With ample power & speed and solid chassis – they made a good showing in Gr.A and Gr.4 prior to the dominance of 4WD cars with the dawning of the Group B era.
Fun car you don’t see very often.
