Rare and interesting piece of German motorcycle history. Krauser MKM (Michael Krauser Motorrad) was a limited production high-performance variant of the early 1980’s R100S. Sporting a technologically advanced, lightweight and stiff ‘birdcage’ chassis and improved aerodynamics to suit high-speed sport-touring. Here is a period article from MOTORCYCLIST November, 1980.
This example is in nice original condition with upgraded Ohlins rear shocks. First registered in Japan in 1985. Registered and insured in Japan as recently as Summer, 2023.
