1996 MGF roadster SARRDWBGBAD012462 w/27,400 miles / 44,187 km.
Interesting piece of British motoring history – a refreshing take on a classic recipe: simple and lightweight roadster with a lively engine for efficient and enjoyable motoring. In this case mid-engine employing the Rover K series DOHC mill. Great example of the simplicity of the 1990’s in very nice condition with no rust. New Yokohama ADVAN Fleva V701 – front: 185/55R15 rear: 205/50R15.
Runs great and drives well; fresh Hydrolastic refill however nitrogen spheres appear to have lost their charge so suspension is somewhat harsh…
Exterior looks very nice, Volcano has a ‘sunburst copper’ look that suits the car.
Interior is very clean. Nice carpets / dash / door panels with slight wear on driver’s seat.
Issues: one convertible top-latch fractured (still holds well); paint has small clear-coat loss near front MG emblem; left power-window slow/sticky; wipers don’t wipe – looks like it needs £179 wiper motor (not yet ordered).
