1958 BMW Isetta 600 “Limousine” chassis no. 120691
Introduced in 1957, the Isetta 600 retained the iconic front-opening “bubble car” styling while adding a 582cc BMW flat-twin engine, four-wheel suspension, seating for four, and a conventional passenger-side rear door. The 600 is somewhat more rare than the single-cylinder Isetta – both great for collectors of early BMWs and microcars.
This example presents as a largely complete, and has spent many years in storage. Fitted with a fresh motorcycle battery, the engine starts readily and the car moves under its own power in both forward and reverse gears. While mechanically functional, it should be considered a recommissioning candidate before regular road use.
The body is straight and complete with chrome bumper guards, brightwork, factory-style hubcaps. Inside, the original front bench seats, steering wheel, controls, and rubber flooring remain in place, showing age and wear.
The rear-mounted BMW flat-twin engine starts easily and appears complete and original.

Known Items Requiring Attention
Approximately 34,000 produced between 1957 and 1959, the BMW Isetta 600 is somewhat more rare than the smaller Isetta 250/300.
Mechanically alive and essentially a complete car with an appealing “preservation class” look. A reasonable restoration candidate with clear NJ title in prior owner’s name.
