1994 Mitsubishi Pajero Mini VR-2 – turbocharged and intercooled DOHC 660cc 4-cylinder; 5-valve per cyl. Automatic transmission; high/low transfer-case for 4WD.
Japanese import – this mini 4×4 has only 63,600 miles (102,538 km). Similar to the contemporary Suzuki Jimny Kei 4×4 (smaller Samurai). Neat alternative to a UTV / ATV – this is street legal with great heater and A/C.
Driving – starts right up and runs very well. Nice tires / brakes / light power-steering. Short gearing so engine is spinning about 1000 rpm per 10 mph. 8000rpm redline = 80mph top speed but more comfortable at 55mph…
Interior – carpets, seats, headliner is very clean. Power windows and door locks and great heater.
Exterior – looks good overall however clear-coat is failing and window-trim weathered. Otherwise a couple small dings – not bad for a utility vehicle…
The Pajero Mini is a neat little off-roader. Very easy to drive – perfect for knocking around town or use at the cabin or as an island rig. Or for rural postal use?
