1995 Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA STi .w/ ~108k miles (174,700 km).
The Type RA (Rally Applicant) was produced in very limited numbers for competition use. 1004 of this variant GC8C47D were produced – having the higher-specification STi drivetrain with the RA focused on weight-reduction and WRC homologation – roof top vent / manual roll-up windows / intercooler sprayer / no power locks. Factory rated at 275hp and 1200 kg / 2640 lb.
Engine & Drivetrain – 2020 head-gaskets & ARP studs (in Canada). Runs well with good boost / power / smoothness. Transmission & clutch feel good. Trans replaced with a non-DCCD unit (TY754VBBBA).
Chassis – Brakes and steering feel great. Shocks feel good however lowered. Some light corrosion as shown in the photos.
Interior – looks good. Nice dash; clean carpet; nice seats; clean headliner with roof-top vent; manual roll-up windows and no power locks. Has aftermarket harness bar and 4-point seat-belts.
Body – presentable and fairly straight – however paint is quite bad – peeling in some areas; front bumper cracked; trunk lock is missing; small rust spots.
Good platform for GC8 rally build or great price for a collectible Subaru.
