1979 Lotus – Steelbro Super Seven Mk4 – 3051 / Lotus twincam engine nr. 32559.
Equipped with the Lotus 1600cc twincam engine with Weber carburetors for approx. 128hp. 4-speed manual transmission; live rear axle.
Interior is in excellent shape – seats / carpets / dash / gauges all fantastic shape.
Body is in lovely condition with bare aluminum panels contrasting nicely with the green cycle fenders and caps.
History: in 1973 assembly of the Super 7 moved from Lotus to two constructors – Caterham in the UK & Steelbro (Steel Brothers) in New Zealand. Once the stock of Lotus-produced chassis was exhausted, and agreement between Lotus and Caterham was reached, allowed Caterham to take-over production of new cars under license. This particular car is amongst the last original LOTUS Seven constructed (e.g. Lotus chassis and engine).
Great value for a very usable classic.
