1983 Caterham Super 7 BDR 1600– LCS4268BDRM / engine nr. BDR001. Long cockpit version.
This is the first Caterham BDR made – equipped with the Cosworth 1600cc BD-series twincam engine rated at approx. 150hp. Twin Weber carburetors ; 4-speed manual transmission; live rear axle with limited-slip differential; ‘Mike the Pipe’ stainless steel exhaust; leather seats; Panasport wheels; cycle fenders; weather equipment – doors / top / inner door pockets / tonneau cover (two). .
Interior is in nice original shape – leather seats / carpets / dash / gauges are all well preserved. Heater and weather equipment.
Body is in good condition with bare aluminum panels contrasting nicely with the green cycle fenders and caps. Super Sevens are very engaging cars – renowned for their performance and really a lot of fun to drive.
