1996 Suzuki Jimny 4×4 JA12W-100968 w/ coil-spring chassis and updated body-style which ran from late 1995 through the 2010’s.
Well suited to town and secondary roads but able to travel 65+ MPH. Like the Suzuki Samurai sold in the USA, efficient and capable off-road with great worldwide club support. Has 104,800 miles (168,980 km); timing belt replaced recently (in Japan); good tires. Serviceable condition and ready to enjoy.
Engine / driveline: F6A 660cc turbocharged / intercooled 3-cylinder gasoline engine. Turbo boost from ~3000RPM and revs to 8000 RPM for a wide power-band and comfortable gearing. Manual locking front hubs and conventional transfer-case for 2WD high / neutral / 4WD high / 4WD low.
Interior: cloth seats, good heater, simple controls – wind-up windows. Negatives: no carpet, AC (not cold), AM radio (not orig).
Exterior: repainted yellow – looks good and suits the vehicle well. Average quality.
May be what you need for getting out on the back roads and on the trail. Or good island vehicle. Worthwhile alternative to a UTV like Kubota RTV / Kawasaki Mike / Razor.
