1991 Birkin S3 Seven Sprint – equipped with a tuned 1700cc crossflow Kent (Ford Cortina) w/ twin Weber DCOE carburetors; 4-speed transmission and live rear axle. Stainless header and side-exit exhaust. Nice tires. Good brakes. Recent work including new Formula Ford / MSD ignition and valve adjust and fluids flushed
Cycle fenders and Brooklands screens for a very pure open-air driving experience. Heater to extend the driving season. Super Sevens are efficient and easy to store and to maintain and Birkin make a very good product. Similar to the late Lotus 7 and the contemporary Caterham but more often a somewhat higher state of tune. Same pure ingredients – simple and efficient motor; raw aluminum body panels; strong chassis; and a disarming throwback design that brings out a friendly smile from old and young alike.
