1965 Honda S600 roadster AS285-1002025 – the Honda car that started it all.
Powered by a 606cc dual overhead cam 4-cylinder engine fed by four individual Kehein carburetors; roller-bearing crankshaft. 4-speed manual transmission. The rear suspension / drive is unusual – rear trailing arms employing a chain-case at each rear wheel for power delivery – similar to the contemporary Honda motorcycle.
Engine starts right up and runs well.
Exterior presentable driver-quailty paint; trim and brightwork is average; lenses and glass is average; assorted chips and flaking flaking paint but negligible rust.
Interior complete and functional. Tacky carbon-vinyl wrap on dash; some incorrect trim screws; weather sealing and other vinyl showing it’s age.
