1994 BMW / Alpina B6 2.8/2 #121 WAPB628022E100121. 127k miles (205,792 km). Diamond Schwartz exterior with distinctive Alpina cloth interior. The Alpina B6 preceded the BMW e36 M3 and addressed a gap in BMW’s performance lineup. Based on the M50 engine, Alpina modifications include special Mahle pistons; revised camshafts and tubular header delivering 240hp. Equipped with an automatic transmission w/Alpina tuning (Alpina prefer automatics).
Supplemental VDO instruments work properly. Climate control blows cold; power windows / sunroof work like they should; aftermarket Japanese / Carrozzeria radio; Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Engine / drivetrain: runs well and no issues and driving dynamics are very good. Transmission / brakes / suspension all feel good. Fluids & service week of 06/29/2020.
Exterior: paint and Alpina graphics have held up well. Obviously well cared for however a couple modest scrapes – on front air dam and the sill under the right-rear door. Related cracked trim on the upper-right of the front bumper.
Interior: dash and gauges look excellent. Power Recaro seats are nice however driver’s seat has wear in lower bolster. Other areas with wear include headliner & door panels is starting to loosen; and Alpina-branded floor mats have worn.
Distinctive car that’s in quite good overall condition and able to be enjoyed as it is.
