1988 Land Rover 90 (Defender).

Consignment recently imported from the UK by friend of the shop David S. who reports most solid Defender he has inspected. Original engine, original chassis, numbers matching and a 100% US legal import! It has 146,000 miles on it and has had a refresh when it was in the UK. Has the tan/brown interior that you rarely see, especially in good shape. The 2.5L turbodiesel runs very well and the 5-speed shifts great, having benefited from a recent clutch replacement.

This Defender has been repainted and modified to look like a 2015/2016 Heritage Edition and is a real attention getter. It could use a new carpet kit (Around $300) but it’s certainly usable as is, I would just consider it more of a driver than a show queen. The chassis is very solid with chassis number clearly visible and no rust spots that I’ve seen. Original RHD/right hand drive truck with the bulkhead in great shape. There is one small spot of rust on the passenger door sill that is easily fixable. Some very minor bubbling on the doors but the undersides are rust free. The paint job was unfortunately not of the best quality and while it has no orange peel, it’s a 5footer. There are a couple leaks here and there as with most old Land Rovers. It’s not without it’s faults, but it’s a nice, driver-condition truck that you won’t be afraid to enjoy.
