RoW / Eurospec car with the 185 HP engine; cloth Recaro 4-place interior; manual heater controls; no sunroof and lower ride-height. In addition – equipped with AMG / MOMO steering wheel and Remus exhaust.
Engine and Drivetrain: Engine runs very well with no unusual noise or smoke. Automatic transmission is well matched to the power of engine. Steering / suspension / brakes feel like new. New tires in 2019 – 215/45×16 Goodyear Revspec (Japan) tires on Mercedes 16″ wheels. Spare is factory 15″ with original/unused Pirelli P6.
Exterior: Original paint has held up very well however some crazing common to Mercedes of this era beneath the clear-coat. Rear trunk and spoiler resprayed and rear spoiler has some waviness. No body damage or rust ever.
Interior: At first glance looks almost new. Seats show negligible wear, dash is clean and gauges look great. Original Yanase floor mats are clean and carpet beneath is excellent. AC blows cold and power windows and door-locks / etc work (update right-rear not operating after winter storage). Negative – door panels have pulled back from upper lip adjacent to each side-window. Small panel surrounding center dash vents has small cracks. Electrical headrests are inoperable. Stereo is aftermarket unit and does not tune-in most USA FM frequencies.
Odometer shows 69,736 km – inop. so true mileage unknown. If you prefer a manual transmission, the conversion to the factory Getrag 717.404 dogleg 5-speed is very straightforward – $4k and a weekend’s work.
